Sore Throat Treatment

A sore throat is usually caused by a virus and most clear up on their own within a week. But if yours is severe or not improving, you do not need to wait for a GP. Through the NHS Pharmacy First service, a pharmacist at Orford Jubliee Pharmacy in Warrington can assess your symptoms and, where clinically appropriate, supply treatment — free, with no appointment or GP referral. The service is available for adults and children aged 5 and over.
