Shingles Treatment

Shingles is a painful rash caused by reactivation of the chickenpox virus, usually appearing as a band of blisters on one side of the body. Treatment works best when started early. Through the NHS Pharmacy First service, a pharmacist at Orford Jubliee Pharmacy in Warrington can assess adults aged 18 and over with shingles and supply treatment where clinically appropriate — free, with no GP appointment. If you think you have shingles, do not delay: early assessment gives the best results.
